French Woods Camp    845.887.5600

350 Bouchoux Brook Road, Hancock  13783

1. According to Josh:

Follow the yellow brick road.  Hurry, before I drop a house on you, too.

2. According to Jonathan:

How would I know?  I’m always watching a DVD in the car.

3. According to Karen:

First, put on your seatbelt, check your mirrors, have a cup of caffeine ready, and adjust your seat so you can hand things to your child in back, or smack your teenager who sits next to you, without getting in an accident.  Decide if you want to revisit your childhood in “The Mountains.”  If so, follow the directions found on the French Woods website link.  They will take you through Monticello, Liberty, etc.  You may also want to stop at the Roscoe Diner, or any other of your old haunting grounds.  If you want to get there quickly and efficiently, my advice would be to follow the directions below:

4. According to Glen:

Either:

NYS Thruway/I-87 to Exit 16 Harriman/NY-17 West then,

Route NY-17 West, 93.6 miles to EXIT 87A (toward RT-268 / CADOSIA / HANCOCK)

or

I-84 to Exit 4W Middletown/NY-17 West then,

Route NY-17 West, 74.3 miles to EXIT 87A (toward RT-268 / CADOSIA / HANCOCK)

Then:

Turn LEFT onto NY-268 / CR-17 / OLD RT-17 for 1.2 miles then,

Turn LEFT onto STOCKPORT RD / NY-97. Continue to follow NY-97 for 7.5 miles then,

(Look for a white church set back on the right side of the road and a sign on a telephone pole for French Woods Festival.  Don ’t be fooled by signs for French Woods Road. That ’s not us. If you pass the French Woods Golf and Country Club you ’ve gone too far.)

Turn RIGHT onto BOUCHOUX BROOK RD., see map below:
